Detailed CAD Models
If you require a complete CAD model to help visualise your ideas, I can provide this as a standalone service or with the full design and build package. Viewing your project in 3D enables you to refine design decisions early in the process and supports the development of an accurate quotation. A detailed CAD model can also assist with planning applications and the preparation of any necessary 2D drawings or elevations.
Frame Design
For every frame that I produce, I will first make a 3D model so every detail is worked out before any timber is ordered and cut. If you already have plans and just need a frame designed to fit into your project, I can work with your architect and structural engineer to design within your parameters.
Detailed Structural Joinery Design
Often when designing a frame we like to utilise joinery that has been proven over hundreds of years, but sometimes we need to design custom joints to meet your structural needs. Combining my engineering knowledge and traditional timber framing experience, I can find a joinery solution to meet you needs. Any custom solutions can be detailed to your structural engineer so they fully understand how they function!
